I have multiple DID ranges at sites, so I can not presume they have the same prepend.

You could I think. However, I would use the prepend digits feature of the Caller Input section of the call handler and simply prepend the +1904.

If I Import users to Unity Connection 9.0(1) and set their Extension as +1904XXXYYYY and set an Alternate Extension of YYYY can I then setup a Call Hander for dial by extension and have them external callers enter the 4 digit extension? Or would they have to enter the full E164 number? Eg Thank you for calling, if you know your parties 4 digit extension enter it now, else please press 9 for a company directory” would they be able to enter the last 4 and match against Alternate Extension?
