[cisco-voip] Directory URI in LDAP sync

	Dear Lelio,

this filed is available in AD ... it's just not visible on any tabs (ndeed
you can find this in tab Atributes Editor but it have to be enabled by
Advanced Features option).

Mostly SIPuri is same as mail field ... so probably you just change this
entry to mail and should be fine for you.

	@All,

In CUCM 9+ we can have 2 type of Users:

	1) Local user

	2) LDAP user

When we have Local user and entered Directory URI ... and this user is
mapped with EM and Directory Number then on DN we can see his/her Directory
URI address.

When we hae LDAP user and Directory URI address is taken from LDAP (mail)
... and this user is mapped with EM and Directory Number then on DN we CAN'T
see his/her Directory URI address.

	Any idea why?

	Regardsm

Thanks for all this feedback everyone. It's great.

I checked our AD and also called our AD admin and we don't have the
msRTCSIP-primaryuseraddress available in our current schema. Just wondering
when you might see this attribute? Is it during a LYNC install? Can you
extend the schema without installing LYNC?

I'm thinking of settling on using the mail attribute since it's there, it's
populated and I've been told more than likely, it is unique.

	What have others done?

	Lelio

It's not tied to any particular type of media.  It just ties a URI to a
phone or user and allows the URI to be routed just like a number.

I was thinking SIP URI shouldn’t really be video or audio
specific (based on the SDP in the invite).  So you could call
email at domain.com and get whatever is available.  Be it audio or video in the
SDP.  Register your phone or your EX90 and both ring like a shared line,
etc.

After upgrade from 8.x to 9.x, the field is not mapped to LDAP
attribute (is blank). You need to add new LDAP directory entry to get that
field mapped or go under Call Routing -> Directory Number and Directory URI
and set each DN and Directory URI setting there.

The SIP URI is used for telepresence mainly so people call you at
userid at domainname.com from a video device.

											Still learning this...

Can anyone comment/elaborate on what the Directory URI is used
for in the LDAP sync setup screen in v9? It's set to
"msRTCSIP-primaryuseraddress" by default. Unfortunately it's not modifiable
after the relationship is setup and I'm not sure what to set it to.

I'll also have to see what value it takes during an upgrade
