If you omit the Dequeue step, then upon Call Redirect failure (E.g. Busy), the caller doesn't lose their place in queue. Also, if the Redirect is successful, the system automatically Dequeues them. The only reason I can think that you would Dequeue prior to Call Redirect, is if you know for sure, that the caller should not be in the queue any longer, regardless of what happens next.

This should work:

If (agentsLoggedIn <= 0) Then
True
Dequeue
Call Redirect
False
Queue call (using the Select Resource step)

I have this business requirement to check if agent state is not ready, then instead of queuing the call, I want to transfer to an extension.
I can check for logged in agents, with this script, but how do I transfer to extension and not allow the call to go to queue
