[cisco-voip] Jabber support for Extension Mobility - Any other Solutions out there

You're in the same boat as a lot of people.  Basically the call center
needs you to conform to how it thinks you should work, and then you just
bend and bend until its happy, and you're not.  :(

It's too bad Jabber Extend and Connect doesn't support DNs as remote
targets.  Otherwise you could you convert to Jabber Extend and Connect 100%
of the time. There would be a work around with a loopback ICT or tromboning
off a gateway, but that's ugly.

Or, I wish UCCX would adopt the power of UCCE and just let Agents specify
their targets upon login.

There is probably some fancy AXL API programming you can do such that an
Agent double clicks an icon on their desktop when they change from "in the
office" to "out of office" and it modifies the CUCM database to move their
DN from the UDP to the CSF.  Have you looked into that?
