[cisco-voip] UCCX Workforce Optimization

Did you resolve this? I believe you need to put the SQL server installation into mixed mode and possibly adjust the bindings to enable TCP/IP connections. By default, I think it just allows named pipes. It’s been a while since I worked with this, but I’d try looking at those things first. If you’re getting a connection refused, that’s always where I would start.

Sorry, I don't know. I've only installed this product like maybe twice in the last 10 years, with the most recent being like 5 years ago. It just doesn't come up that often for me to maintain a skillset in it.

Anthony,
Thanks for the information and the explanation of the different pieces in WFO.
I have stepped through the documentation.
I have installed Server 2012 R2 with all the updates.
I have installed SQL Server Express 2012.
Created a user in SQL and set the permissions to dbcreator as the document requires.
I have loaded the .iso image for Cisco_Quality_Management_10.5.1 in Virtual DVD.
Run setup_MonRec_1051.
When I get to the Database information and fill in the details for either the ip address or hostname, it comes back with Connection refused: connect.

I can’t work out what’s going on…..

Is there a base server config that needs to be installed first.

Maybe you didn't see the installation guides on the WFO support page? I'll link the hierarchy for your convenience. You're going to want all of these documents at your disposal as you build this out.

For yours and anyone else's benefit, WFO = Work Force Optimization and is an umbrella term for two products: Work Force Management (Resource Forecasting) and Quality Manager (Call Recording). A lot of people get that confused, especially WFO vs WFM.

Does anyone have a step by step install guide for Unified Workforce Optimisation Quality Management or a url?
I am trying to setup in my lab a small UCCX setup which is ok, but the whole Workforce Optimization piece is giving me a headache.
Having to setup Micro$oft servers is something which I’ve always steered clear of, but it would seem that the “devil has risen again”.

I’m “only” interested in getting the call recording version 10.5 working if that is any help.

The cisco doc’s I have seen miss out the SQL server setup ;)
