I have two clusters (X8.10 and X8.9.2) where MRA works fine. One of the caveats is that the Reverse DNS lookup must work for the ExpresswayE FQDN.

There is a cert check in the MRA traversal zone which won’t work (the zone will be active but MRA won’t work) if this is not in place. There is a work-around to disable TLS but this is not recommended.

Ie For the UC Traversal zone on the Expressway Core, you need to connect to expresswayEdge.example.com and the reverse DNS lookup for a.b.c.d must map to the FQDN.

Hope this help to encourage you to move to .10

I'd personally say anything 8.8+ is good 2 go and it's mostly still just the Jabber stuff that doesn't work over MRA (which is documented).

During the non-production period, is the business using it to validate its configuration and usability for its specified business case? Usually, once UAT (User Acceptance Testing) is completed and signed off on I would kick it in to production during a scheduled window.

For chassis burn-in, I like to see a week in the production racks.
