[cisco-voip] room kits - smartnet or not?

I remember when phones first came out, smartnet was expensive for each phone and the decision by many was made to leave smart net off the phones and use that money to replace phones as needed. Budget issues aside, it made sense.

What are people doing for equipment of a smaller number? Say, Room Kits?

I'd like to offer the products to our clients with a 5 year warranty, so no one has to worry about managing inventory until it's probably time to replace them. But 5 year warranty is about half the cost of the product. Doing math that says these devices will be EOL'ed within about 10 years of announcement (very rough guess), two 5 year warranties buys a new product.

Thoughts?
