Hi,

I have experienced the same issue. We could fix it by adding the display
string to the config offline and then reload the config :((
Extreme promised to fix it in 7.x

Betreff: [e-nsp] Changing display string of port?

One of the ports in our BD (6.2.2b68) has had the misfortune of being
configured with a display-string of "2". The actual port number is 2:30.
We're trying to configure the port, but the display-string is causing
"issues".

For example:
CES1.LONI:13 # conf port 2
Next possible completions:
        <port id>

CES1.LONI:13 # conf port 2 redundant

I've tried variations on using unconfigure or "2"ing the port name with no
luck.

The options I think I have are:
1) unconfigure the whole slot and rebuild all the configs on the blade
2) unconfigure the switch, reboot, and paste the config (minus the display
string command) back in.
3) use another port....

Any other ideas or hints would be appreciated.

Thanks,

J
