Buy a new Heathkit now

How many AM radios do we need?
NONE,
no mater who is building the kits.
What made Heathkit work when we were all building there kits (I have
more than ten, including the 25" and 45" TVs) was that it was a USEFUL
product. Sometimes at a higher price that the equivalent street product,
but useful, still.
No one buys Am radios, they are given away with magazine subscriptions,
and at lease those people know well enough to include FM.
IMO, they have wasted the plastic to form the bezel. If you are going
to spend money in R&D and setup, build a product that has a market.
"Business 101"
THAT IS WHAT MADE HEATHKIT GOOD IN THE PAST!
You might as well give them your $45 for a Heathkit emblem,
and set it on your mantle.

| Such a kit could be the start of a fine kitbuilding "career" for a
|first-timer and a nostalgic return to "the past" for an
|oldtimer. Don't
|knock it. It's Heathkit, ain't it?????
