        Absolutely!  No problem!  Wouldn't hurt to go up to 30-50 mf. if they
will physically fit the application.
        One "caveat":  If you are using low current  heater cathode type
rectifiers, like the 6X4 or 6X5, beware of going to crazy with higher value
of capacitance, i.e.: subbing a 50 mf for a 16 mf.  These tubes sometimes
have a tendency to blow the cathode to pin tab in a capacitor input filter
configuration, as the surge current is too great without a small current
limiting series resistor connected between the tube's cathode and the filter
network.
