Temp sensor

Does anyone know a replacement for the temp sensor for the ID-1390
electronic thermometer? I have one sensor, would like to make another.
The manual lists a Heath part number and indicates two diodes in the
sensor. I assume that these are some special temp-sensing diodes. Anyone
know for sure?
