HD-1250/Sickly

heath guys:
        I got the above Grid dipper that has gone "funny" on me..
Any body out there that has a "warm and fuzzy" on these things, that
might like to "bench" this guy and see why this dipper won't dip??
Osc. appears to be working OK, but when trying to get reading
on unknown coil, the dips are really erratic or just sits there
waiting for me to do something...so I am...

I'd be happy to ship this guy to some willing Dippy expert what likes to
play with this Sand state stuff..  ;o)))))
 Of course I'll pay the freight back and forth and maybe some
acceptable fee for service that's appropriate..I also have the manual
