One KC in 1 hour ! Geezz are you sure you are reading the dial correctly not
10 KC's?

1 Kc in 1 hour from a cold start is big lottery hit.
Do not tinker with that VFO,  related screws or dial lamps.

If its 10 KC's try some (C946-947) 56 Pf dogbone NPO's and a negative 750
coefficient on (C951) from Surplus Sales of Nebraska.
Rebuild the LMO exactly like in the manual, tighten 4 mounting bolts in a X
cross pattern to limit stress points.
