WTB: AM FILTER

Hi Ed...

Your logic is true...

...However, in this particular instance, it must be remembered that, unlike
otherwise "normal" receivers as you describe, the SB-300/301 do NOT employ
the services of IF transformers in their respective IF chains, but rather,
simple parallel L/C circuits.

The selectivity of these rigs is thus all garnered by the IF filter(s). I
would imagine that had "regular" IF transformers been used, the selcetivity
afforded by them would, indeed, have made the bandwidth comfortably wide for
AM, with NO filters whatsoever...

A good thought, though, and one which I tried to execute (but failed
miserably! Hi Hi).
