Dial Cords

Maybe I will break up the silence by delivering this information:

I was at the local Radio-Shack / parts distributor today and
noticed a dial cord re-stringing kit. It comes with three
springs and some dial cord. Two of the springs are the same
size, one is slightly longer.

Previously, someone was asking where he could get springs to convert the SB
series belt drives to dial cord. I think these would work. Check your
Radio Shack. The part number is 274-435 "Dial Cord Replacement Kit". The
local price here was $1.99.

I think the SB series went through several changes on these drives. Mine,
for example, uses two belts for the driver/preselector, while the load
control uses dial cord.
