SB-401--xtals

The xtals are for the SB401 to operate as a standalone xmitter (either
with a Heath SB3xx rcvr or any other)....without them, the 401 MUST
be used in conjunction with a SB300,301 or 303 rcvr...and use the
xtal LO out from the rcvr to mix in the TX as well (so you are stuck
to the same band as well...but can operate split VFO within the same
band...with the xtal pack, you can operate split band as well!)
