I had a similar problem with a TX-1 that I acquired a couple years ago. After many hours of frustration, I discovered that some ingenious previous owner had installed the vfo tuning capacitor 180 degrees off. And getting to this little variable capacitor in the TX-1 to correct the pproblem was a physical nightmare!

> Hello. I tried to calibrate by the book. Adjusting the vfo coil while radio is on 500 mark on dial, then turning down to the 0 mark on the dial and adjusting the trimmer screws. The problem, when you turn the vfo coil it moves the 0 setting lower, I have the trimmer screws all the way out and still the signal is under 0.
