DX-100 chassis plating

I have a friend here in Atlanta who "rebuilt" a DX-100 several years
ago.

He took the chassis to a plating shop for the copper plate. The
plater said "it's only one more step to chrome plate now that we have
this nice copper base." So that's what he did. Not very practical
perhaps, and it really needs a Plexiglas case to appreciate it, but it
certainly is unique. The current owner just runs it out of the case.
The original painted case wasn't a very good shield anyway!!
