DX-100 wiring harness

Hi, folks -

Thanks to all who replied regarding the chassis plating. Never having had
the need, I was not aware that copper plating was a first step in the
chrome process. I've found a shop not too far from here and I will be
giving them a call Monday.

One gentleman who replied indicated that he was considering re-building his
DX-100 wiring harness. I, too, am **considering** it. Not made a final
decision, although, the thought is really tempting (using teflon insulated
wire!).

Would anyone on the list, perhaps one of the "former Hams at Heath", have
the engineering drawing/specifications for the harness? I thought it might
be easier to go from a drawing rather than trying to "disect" the current
harness.

If I do end up making a new one, I'll probably have to buy enough wire to
make a few (who's going to sell me 1.75 feet of #22, violet with white
stripe, anyway! Well, maybe someone at a Hamfest). I'll let everyone know
if I go ahead and make the additional ones available.

Thanks again for all the ideas on the plating!

73,
Paul, wb9hgz
