hw 18 question

If it sounds anywhere NEAR as good on 160m AM or 80m AM as a DX-60,
then heck yeah it would be useful!

I had a friend up in Northern Virginia who ran a DX-60 that always had a crackerjack RS
59 plus 20 dogBiscuits signal with great punchy audio (used a D-104!) -
and that was just 2 or 3 years ago!

I must say I have never actually heard an HW-18 on the air.
