Greetings friends of tubular gear: I have just finished cleaning up and
partially checking out a Panoramic Panadaptor PCA-2T 200, a spectrum
analyser that shows one about 200 kc of received bandwidth, plus has
capability for audio. I had heard about these dudes and always wanted to
play with one, and here it is. Is there anyone on the lists who has had
experience with this little beauty? My trace seems a little dim, but
maybe that is normal. Looking for a panoramic elmer.
Also the manual (from good ole BAMA - what a resource!) explains that it
is set up for input from the plate of RX first detector tube (mixer) for
RXs with 450-470 IFs. Does anyone have experience with putting it on IF
such as the 3k Heath one, or maybe some of the Hallis (to be honest, I
have not checked the Halli IF numbers but assume they are higher than
455 in their serious ham RX).
Many thanks
