SB-401/SB-301/SB-650 question

 When using the SB-650 with the 401/301 transceive combination you're
instructed to install a 1.2 uh choke (# 45-76) in the 401.

 Problem is when this choke is installed it kills the HFO drive from the
301 on all bands below 10 meters. I suspect that 1.2 uh isn't the
correct value for the # 45-76 choke, and something on the order of
maybe 12 uh would be more  appropriate. Does anyone know what
the value of this choke is for sure? I don't understand the purpose
of it anyway, anybody know? I'm temped to leave it out.
