Hello:

Digi-Key might have pretty complete data on film caps. AC voltage rating
will be lower on polyester than polypropylene, so when you see that data
hopefully it will be familiar.

Nissei Denki America (NDA) did alot of work on developing HV ac films for
caps....check a search engine for their website if desired.

Generally, the lower the dissipation factor (DF) of a cap, the lower its
losses and thus self-heating at high freq. (I'm talking tens of kHz
anyway...film aren't best choice good for RF, although polystyrene was a
common choice for vfo's etc (small signal). Polyester has about 1% DF,
Polypropylene 0.1%, Polycarbonate in between the two.
