Removing black permanent marker pen from SB-200 front panel

I have an SB-200 that is in pretty good shape, except someone drew lines
and wrote numbers (for tuning preset) directly on the front panel with
black permanent marker pen.

I am not too optimistic about getting it off, as I bought it primarily
as a parts rig, but I am now wondering if there is any chance that I
could.

Anybody ever tried to get anything like this off?  (Maybe I can try
goo-gone, but I suspect it is too permanent for that).
