Yes, Mr. Johnson, you definitely have a 110 and not a 110A.

I have had a 110 and 110A side-by-side for comparison (along with their
associated manuals). I did this several years ago when corresponding with
Chuck Penson - but somehow he got it backwards in the 2nd edition. I just
went down to the pile o' Heathkits in the basement to check this out again -

The 110 has the heterodyne crystal oscillator V7 (6EA8) mounted on the
Carrier Generator circuit board, not on the chassis. The 110 also has the
crystals associated with V7 mounted 4 in a row on the chassis.

There was a problem caused by the crystal oscillator being on that circuit
board so Heath moved it to the chassis in the 110A.

The 110A has the heterodyne crystal oscillator V7 (6EA8) mounted on the
chassis. The Carrier Generator board (#85-152) has V6, V8, V9, and a blank
spot where V7 used to be. The crystals associated with V7 are arranged 2x2
on the chassis.

Note - that wandering tube is V7 and not V9.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
