SB-102

Hi Dwight et al,

The first three outs are just what you guessed, and was
included mainly for the plugging-in of a digital frequency display.

The 600 ohms is audio--the same audio as the speaker 8-ohm
out, except that it's at a 600-ohm impedance. This rear jack was
for the phone patch that was popular years ago. That same
600-ohm circuit is wired to the front-panel "(head)-phones" jack.

The 2000-ohm magnetic phones were common then, and the
600-ohms gave good volume level. Today's modern HiFi phones
are a very poor match and just don't work too well.
There is a very good mod (don't remember by who), that
shows how to very simply rewire the secondary of the output
transformer to provide 8-ohm impedance to the phones.
And-- all the guy's mods are totally reversable!
