Heathkit Cantenna Oil Volume

of a manual. What is the liquid volume (or oil height in the
can) that is required? I seem to recall that you need to leave
some air volume at the top of the can for oil expansion due to
heating......
Quoting from the manual:
Pour transformer oil into the pail until it reaches a
level about 3/4" from the top. It is mandatory for proper oil
circulation that the oil level be about 1/4" above the shield
tube or resistor element when the lid is installed.
