Further to my last post.  It is not nicotine as it is only adhering to steel parts: alumunum IF cans etc are not affected.  Nicotine would be everywhere.  There is absolutely no smoke smell to the radio.   The lemon film also tends to rub off slightly when rubbed with your finger.
