I have never seen a 6EA8 in the LMO! There are
several different tubes used in the LMO depending on
what the heater current balance is required. However,
they all are 7-pin minature types and the 6EA8 is a
9-pin miniature.
Now, a 6U8 generally will work fine in a circuit where
the 6EA8 is specified.

I do not have a 6ea8 tube and would like to know if
there is a substitute for it.
