Aligning the SB-303 and SB-401any trick to make OSC's more robust and sure starting????

Hi,

Did someone publish a method on making sure (or helping) the SB-303's
Oscillators started more reliably -especially at higher frequencies 21
m, 10m(a), 10 m(b), 20m(c)-- etc. I thought I read something about
adding a resistor somewhere and tying it high -maybe adding something
else to the transistor there- can't recall... Very vague but that's all
I remember. My high bands are always on the very of edge quitting
oscillation. I'm taking about the phase where you tune up the Ant
board, the HET Osc board, etc each slug tuned for all the bands ... RF
Amp etc.

Actually, same when I tune the SB-401 driver coils grid, HET coils etc.,
during that 'final' alignment with the SB-303 connected.

Some oscillator always craps out.

[It's not the usual SB-303's 'HET OSC sensitivity to cable and load'
problem I am having driving the SB401, which everyone has had, but maybe
the solution could be applied to that two. I just make sure I use
exactly 24" on RG-174 from the HET OSC out to the SB-401.]

If you remember some idea to make those stronger and more robust and
reliable, please tell me about it.
Thanks,
