Heath dumbie load

It is properly called a "Dummy Load" because
it tricks the transmitter into thinking that
it is a perfect antenna and absorbs all of the
energy.  It is used for testing purposes.

Your local community should host a hazardous
waste disposal site or regular event.  Contact
your dump, land fill, or garbage pickup people
and ask them.

Or, ask the local Radio Shack if they know of
an Amateur Radio Club in the area.  Most Hams
would be willing to help with the disposal problem.
If she wants to be rid of it she could donate the
container to the Club, it has a value of $25. or
thereabouts.
