Well here goes!

I ended up with a pretty decent SB-104 due to a listserv ad placed for me.
It was about halfway converted to a 104A. I have most of the info to
complete that job but would appreciate copies of any of the articles that
appeared in QST and Ham Radio magazine in the late 70s & early 80s along
with opinions as to how well those mods work.



Anything others have done to use an Astatic D104 amplified Mic in the
past. I see the unit calls for hi-z and these are 600 ohms after the amp.
About 12K without it. I’d rather an electro-voice but those are way up
there. Last one I saw went $93.00 on eBay? Crazy!!



 As for accessories, I still need the station monitor, and the station
console (ones that I can afford). I keep looking at these on eBay and I
just can’t believe what these are going for on there. I’d be glad to have
units that I have to repair just so I could save some money.
