Re the "frozen" switch

A trick I have used many times, works really well.
Use a small butane torch or a butane BBQ lighter, apply
heat to the end of the shaft, being careful not to damage
paint or decals. Twiddle the shaft with a small locking Visegrip
and in a few minutes, after the congealed grease has melted,
a working switch....
