BW Clipper/SB-102 Question!!

Hi, Friends!

I have acquired a BW Clipper which was originally bought at a Heathkit Store
(got the orig. receipt!) and it's in great condition and has the original
manual.

Has anyone on the List had any experience with this unit? I had an SB-102
with a Clipper installed some years ago; it was already assembled together
when I got that '102. Alas, that rig was sold back in 2004.

In going through the instructions, everything seems pretty straightforward
except for one thing: disconnecting the ALC line from the Modulator Board.
Cutting the circuit-board trace for input and output connections is okay, as
is getting the unit's power from Pin 7 of the main relay socket. But, it
seems to me that the ALC should not be disabled. Of course, BW isn't around
any more to comment on this!

My other rig worked very well with its Clipper, and I'm anxious to put this
one to work in my "new" '102.

Anyone have any experience or suggestions?
