[j-nsp] generic ospf question

Nope, Because the LSDB's are area specific, If something happened in AREA 0,
it will not initiate the SPF re-run in other areas. The exception is summary
routes LSA type 3 which is for stub area, but it's only the summary routes
are being added/removed in stub area.

That's for what we configure areas :)

Subject: [j-nsp] generic ospf question

Hi list,

Just wondering, if an area is configured as NSSA with no summaries, in case
any router in OSPF area 0 reboots or fails, will it cause SPF algorithm to
re-run in this NSSA? Of course, routing across area 0 will be affected, but
will routing WITHIN the NSSA be affected as well? Thanks.

C.
