One thing you can do, although not with normal CLI tools, or even most
SNMP libraries, is simply send batches of get requests in a single
packet. As long as you ensure the replies will still fit into a single
packet this works fine.

Actually *implementing* this is probably more of a PITA than just using
CLI, not that the CLI is guaranteed to be in sync with itself.
