Hi Julian,
One of our clients with a business fiber connection to AT&T began experiencing significant t packet loss and very high TTL response time around 9:30 central time this morning.
While on the phone with AT&T, our client received confirmation of a failed AT&T backbone router in Illinois with no ETA for resolution. It took close to 5 hours for their service to be restored to an acceptable state (no packet loss and normal TTL response time). The support ticket with AT&T is still open. So far the connection has been stable and operating as expected.
Thanks

Hey all,
This morning we started seeing some very weird call behavior* that we really thought was carrier-related, but our carriers (AT&T and Lumen) said that they initially didn’t have any information about an outage. Then later in the afternoon when things cleared up for us around 1:30pm Central, our account rep heard about some major network outage affecting Chicago. We haven’t been able to get anything official like a master ticket or anything, but it sounds based on what I saw included in an email thread that there was something happening starting around like 8:30am Central and some cards were replaced around the 1:30pm timeframe but that they are still working to fully restore service. Anyone got any information they can share?
Thanks!
*can provide more details if needed, but basically we were seeing inbound calls generating multiple duplicate ringing requests, our SBC and PBX were responding with nice 200 responses to accept the call, but we never got any response back from the AT&T side until a 481 that dropped the call.
