[cisco-voip] Dial from Outlook problems

CUCMBE 6.0(1)
I downloaded and installed the Cisco TSP plugin from CCM onto a client
machine. I completed all of the directions in the readme file for setup. I
configured the modem settings for CTI and the user. The user profile in CCM
has CTI control checked and the phone is associated to the user. One thing I
noticed in the readme file for CiscoTSP is that is mentions adding CTI ports
and CTI route Points. I didn't add them because I did not understand why
they would be needed. Plus, the readme mentions nothing about their purpose.
I wouldn't imagine that they would be needed and I've never had to use them
on previous version of CCM.
When I try to make a test call from Outlook or from Dialer.exe it fails. I'm
never able to control the IP phone from the desktop and I also do not see
the ciscotsp as an outgoing line option in either Outlook or Dialer.exe
Any advice on getting the dial from Outlook feature working or maybe a
pointer to another option for making this work? I saw something about a
Netsoft freeware program on the Net. Has anyone used this?
Thanks,
Jason
