If you're receiving the name, it would look something like this:
069849: Nov 18 22:43:06.376: ISDN Se1/0:23 Q931: RX <- SETUP pd = 8 callref = 0x1E7B
Bearer Capability i = 0x8090A2
Standard = CCITT
Transer Capability = Speech
Transfer Mode = Circuit
Transfer Rate = 64 kbit/s
Channel ID i = 0xA98384
Exclusive, Channel 4
Display i = 0xB1, 'BRLG ELEM SCHL'
Calling Party Number i = 0x2183, '7803542446'
Plan:ISDN, Type:National
Called Party Number i = 0xC1, '8313076'
Plan:ISDN, Type:Subscriber(local)
In this example, "BRLG ELEM SCHL" is the name that the telco is sending. Keep in mind that for many numbers (e.g., a lot of cell phones) the telco does not send a name.

This is what I see. From the looks of it, there is no name information. However, I don't see a field where the ASCII name would be populated.
This was a call from 9522212814 coming into a circuit that delivered the last 4 digit of the DNIS.

You can easily check by doing a debug isdn q931 on gateway of the inbound trunk, repeat the call and you should see callerID with name info come through.

All -
I am working on a CUCM 6.2 cluster where all inbound calls display a "ID Unavailable" on the ringing phone. We are running PRIs on MGCP gateways.
PSTN --> Internal Extension = Calling number, but no CID ("ID Unavailable")
I have looked through the CUCM 6.x Admin Guide, but could not figure out a place to make a change. Could it be that our carrier is not sending CID?
Can someone point me in the right direction so I can figure this out?
Thanks,
Matthew Berry, Sr. Unified Communications Engineer, CCVP
