[cisco-voip] 7941 microphone/headset volume?

Hi folks --

It's been asked before, but I can't find the discussion -

I've got a Contact Center user who has a headset on, and says that his
headset is picking up so much background noise that
people on the other end are shouting so he can hear them.

He's tried reducing the volume on his phone, but he is the only loser in
that game -- he (and others) quickly cannot hear the customer then.

Clues?
