[cisco-voip] UCCX 8 Engine Keeps stopping

Yes UCM/CXN 8.5.1SU3 is out, but for enterprise we want to see it on cisco.com downloads for 90 days without any Sev1/Deferrals. Enterprise wants stability versus 1a, 1b, 1c and doesn't want to be testing for Cisco, I like to leave cutting edge for smaller customers, new installs. This enterprise customer has phones on desks and I don't want any 7965s thrown at me.

Isn't there 8.5.1SU3 out? Is there a reason you are not going to that version of Call Manager?

CallManager 8.5.1SU1 but I'd like to get SU2 applied, SU2 for CallManager has a lot of CTI fixes.

Hi Jason
What version of CUCM are you using as, this has been proved to be an issue with CUCM, rather than UCCX, the rmcm user was not replicating correctly to the subscribers, I need to raise another case with the CUCM team who can look into the replication as replication appears to be reporting as all fine.
The workaround was to change the rmcm username and password in UCCX, then change the password in CUCM, however not from the Publisher but on the actual subscribers used as the CTI Managers, once this was done the CCX Engine starts ok.
Regards
Nick

I'm still in testing phase with a UCCX 8.5(1)SU2 deployment (inbound only) but so far no issues uncovered in testing.

Hi Russell,
No fix yet, I have a Webex scheduled with Cisco developers in a couple of hours so we will see what come out of that.

Hi Erick
I have logged a tac case for this and tac have confirmed its a java memory leak causing the issue, this is with 8.6.2a CUCM and 8.5.1 SU2 UCCX as these are the latest versions for both products, I am curently waiting on TAC, the have logged a defect to the BU and waiting form them to provide fix, not a good situation for me.
My case is not the only one they have open for this defect either.

Nick
